Turmeric soap primarily cleanses: the soap base helps remove surface oil and everyday dirt when you rinse. Turmeric is an added botanical ingredient. Its presence does not mean the bar will clear acne, erase scars, lighten skin, or treat a medical condition.
Understand the whole bar
The base formula determines much of the washing experience. Added butters, oils, clay, and fragrance also affect how a product feels. Do not judge a cleanser only by its featured ingredient.
What you can reasonably look for
Notice the lather, how easily it rinses, and whether your skin feels comfortable afterward. Those observations are more useful than expecting immediate changes to pigmentation. A cleanser is washed off; it is not the same product as a leave-on treatment.
Using an INKUH turmeric bar
INKUH lists turmeric powder, shea and mango butters, several oils, kaolin clay, and orange and frankincense essential oils. Follow the current package directions. Avoid the eyes, rinse thoroughly, and discontinue a product that stings or causes a rash.
